From the first iteration, designed the browser-based software that users use to set up their 3D models for metal printing. Fabricate also allows users to inspect each model, simulate how it will print, and place their models on the build plate.

With 3D models there are specific UI needs such as rotating and translating objects. This is an area where I gained a ton of knowledge working at DM.

Designed a color system for 3D models to ensure that all the different parts are clear enough for user to inspect

Developed templates for UI layout that could be reused for fast design & development

Because this is cloud-based, design had to be responsive
